Description: Florida-based Unity Recovery Group accidently exposed the personal information of its clients to rehabilitation service providers that are unaffiliated with Unity. The incident compromised the personal data of about 1,000 individuals including names, addresses, dates of birth, telephone numbers, Social Security numbers, email addresses, insurance information and certain health-related information. Unity immediately investigated the incident and implemented additional technological security measures, and provided additional training of employees to ensure compliance with Unity's policies. It also offered a free year of identity and credit protection services.
