Rankiteo Explanation :
Attack with significant impact with customers data leaks

Description: The ALPHV/BlackCat ransomware gang updated its list of victims on its Tor leak site to include Motel One. Approximately 6 TB of data, or 24,449,137 files, are allegedly missing from the group. The group claimed that booking confirmations from the previous three years are among the allegedly stolen data. Names, addresses, dates of reservations, payment methods, and contact details of consumers are among the records that have been exposed. The ALPHV organization warned that sensitive data from clients' credit cards and other stolen material is also included. If the business does not pay the ransom within five days, the ransomware organization threatens to release the stolen data.
