Attack that could injure or kill people

Description: Hurley Medical Center was targeted in a cyberattack by the online "hacktivist" group Anonymous. The attack disrupted the hospital's food service and also disabled various operations in the emergency room like printing of labels, ID badges, or patient discharges. The hospital asked the staff to change their passwords to prevent their credentials from being stolen as the attackers had accessed the work and personal accounts of hospital staff. The hospital reported the incident to the Michigan State Police and investigated the incident with the help of cyber security experts.
