Gatecoin also benefits from a technological sponsorship and partnership provided by IBM, under the Softlayer Catalyst program. Gatecoin won the 2014 Best Start-up Prize for Central and East Asia at Talent Unleashed (Sir Richard Branson and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak were part of the jury) and the Asia-Pacific Award at the 2016 DigiWorld Awards after being selected by consulting firm Capgemini.
