Mission Statement: Citizens’ organization for the protection and enforcement of members' humanitarian rights under the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) through efforts in: education, documentation, legal representation and political lobbying. What We Do: Minorities' Legal Guild (MLG) provides an answer to the problem of 86.1% of EEOC claimants being rejected or never receiving settlement. MLG educates employees about their rights and provides members with the subscription services of Forensic Notes to document their workplace environment. MLG consults with members on their experiences and litigation options when discrimination due to biases are documented. MLG then advocates for the member through the EEOC process to settlement. The Big Picture: By removing the "my word vs. your word" of the EEOC process through documentation and having an legal advocate to represent members in the settlement negotiations, MLG will change the statistics of EEOC claims. This change will foster a new workplace environment of equality for all marginalized groups. Glassdoor released a survey stating that 60% of Americans have directly experienced or witnessed discrimination in the workplace. This equates to almost 100 million people and only 72 thousand EEOC claims are made yearly. MLG will use its' resources to lobby for more research in workplace discrimination.
